Biochemical Oxygen Demand

Apparatus for Biochemical Oxygen Demand determinations up to 1000 ppm or higher values after sample dilution.
Epoxy painted metal structure studied and tested in order to give to the istrument an excellent resistance to the attack of chemical and mechanical agents and to corrosion in general.
The apparatus holds 6 (BMS 6) or 10 bottles (BMS 10). The measuring scales are, respectively, up to 90, 250, 600, 1000 mg/l BOD.
Sample volumes may vary from 100 to 400 mI in 500 ml bottles.
The incubating samples are continuously stirred by a 6 or 10 positions magnetic stirring unit.
The apparatus allows to follow the BOD kinetic curves.
An operation manual and a method description to support the user are supplied together with the instrument.
The BOD determination requires a refrigerating incubator.

The size of this apparatus has been studied to allow the installation of one BMS 10 in the FTC 90 (code 10.0140) refrigerating incubator and up to two BMS 10 in the FOC 225E (code 10.0141) refrigerating incubator.
